2020 –May Playdate
Eleven piano buddies gathered on May 23 for a playdate and dress rehearsal of their upcoming recital on May 31.
Laurie & Sam hosted the playdate at their house and took extra measures to follow recommendations to keep everyone safe. They offered both indoor and outdoor seating so the Buddies would have plenty of space to sit 6 feet apart, and they set up a sound system outside so everyone could hear the performers. After each Buddy played, Sam sanitized the piano keyboard. And after the playing, a meal was offered with each food item individually wrapped. The Buddies played their part in keeping safe as well, as each wore a face mask and kept a respectable distance. These extra precautions by everyone were well worth the effort, as the Buddies were able to relax, socialize, and enjoy a much needed afternoon of merry music making.
The Buddies who attended were: Amy, Courtney, David, Della, Jane, Joan, Laurie, Leslie, Paul, Sam, Susan.
