Our Musicians
LuAnn Latzanich, Piano
LuAnn is an Atlanta native, and is a charter member of the Peachtree Chamber Players. She received a B.A. in Music from University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill, and a M.A. in Music Theory from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.
LuAnn was employed for over 20 years by Clayton State University, where she taught private and group piano and coordinated the Preparatory School of Music. Currently she runs a piano studio in her home in Decatur. In addition to her involvement in chamber music, she also accompanies instrumentalists and vocalists, and presents solo piano recitals. |
Tamara Grizzle, Flute
Tamera recently moved to her "forever home" in Brooks, and has been a member of the Peachtree Chamber Players since 2016. She studied music at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and has played in multiple ensembles including community bands, orchestras and choirs.
Tamera currently plays with Tamerill, a trio in residence at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, Georgia; the Fayette Area Flutists flute choir, and the Mercer University Flute Choir. |
Erin Olson, Oboe
Erin is a resident of Newnan, and joined the Peachtree Chamber Players in 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Converse College and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.
She has performed with The Asheville Symphony and the Hendersonville Symphony and was Principle Oboe for the Columbia University Bach Society (NYC), One World Symphony (NYC) and several others. Erin has been on the teaching staff at Limestone College and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She also sings soprano in her church choir and in the Southern Crescent Chorale. |
Becky Adams, French Horn
Becky is a resident of Fayetteville, and joined the Peachtree Chamber Players in 2017. She studied music at the University of Arkansas and played in community bands and orchestras in the Arkansas area.
She currently plays with the Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra, the Peachtree Wind Ensemble concert band, the Atlanta Community Brass Ensemble, and the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church orchestra. |
Laurie Searle, ClarinetLaurie hails from Chicago and settled in the metro Atlanta area in 1979 after serving nine years in the U.S. Army as a military musician. She is a charter member of the Peachtree Chamber Players.
She studied music at Jacksonville State University while serving in the elite Women's Army Corp Band in Anniston, Alabama. She later served in the 14th Army Band, AL; 8th Infantry Division Band, DE; 298th Army Band, Berlin, and 214 Army Band, GA. Laurie currently plays with the Carrollton Wind Ensemble. In 2018, she was inspired by her husband to learn the piano and now plays with Piano Buddies, a social group of pianists that meets monthly to play for one another. |
April Purdy, Bassoon
April grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Georgia in 2021. She Joined the Peachtree Chamber Players in 2024.
She has a Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University and a Master of Music from the University of Utah, both in Music Education. She taught band, orchestra, and guitar at Midvale Middle School for 7 years and was a member of several community bands and orchestras before quitting to become a stay-at-home mom. This is her first gig, besides the occasion performance for church services, in over 16 years and is excited to get back to playing regularly. |
